Trains from Euston
Euston is the station for Avanti West Coast services to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster, Carlisle and Glasgow, along with London Northwestern Railway trains to Milton Keynes and Northampton, and the London Overground to Watford. The station area is also going through major building work for HS2, so the roads around it can change.
Route and journey time
Euston is roughly 14 to 15 miles from Kingston. The most common route is north on the A3 to Wandsworth, across the river, and up through Victoria or Westminster towards the Euston Road. On some days the A4 through Hammersmith and Kensington is quicker.
A typical journey takes 55 to 75 minutes. Weekday mornings and late afternoons are the slowest times, and events in central London can add delays. [State whether the Congestion Charge is included in your fares.]
All times are typical estimates. For a train you cannot miss, leave extra time.
Getting dropped at the right place
With the HS2 works, the drop-off arrangements around Euston have changed several times. Your driver will take you to the nearest permitted drop-off point to the station entrance and help with your luggage. If you need assistance in the station, for example with mobility, it is worth booking passenger assistance with your train company too.
